Whooo.
K ignore that. I'm still in the festive mood of Chinese Niu Year! Amidst the sound of continuous never-ending firecracker explosions and ear-piercing cries and shouts of joy from people celebrating the new year, I can't help but feel that something's missing.
Angpows.
Lmao. Joking joking... =D
Of course, what i obviously wanted to say (er-hem) was 'Friends'!
Oh well... I've made some new friends here too... =D
I'm really great chums with Snoopy the dog, and I'm an intimate friend and soulmate to my dad's laptop...
Okok.. jokes aside.. I hope everyone is having an enjoyable Chinese new year and one day's holiday. Hate to break it to you guys... BUT WE HAVE ONE WEEK OF HOLIDAYS HERE HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

-Day one-
It was a dark and cold morning. The icy wind whistled through the trees, causing branches to creak and leaves to rustle. A gloomy mist hung in the air, daring the foolish and beckoning the brave to venture into its depths.
In a dimly-lit apartment down the deserted street, a restless sleeper arose and confronted the coming dawn with steely eyes and a determined gaze. Today was the day.
Ok.
In other words, I woke up and it was cold.
Ha. Ha. So dramatic.
K i'll stop the melodrama and cut the crap..
But seriously, you guys are enjoying this right? =D
Don't expect more, being creative is tiring..
Alright, I woke up. What's next?
Well... get changed, brush teeth, quiet-time and all the usual stuff.
Then my family got in the car and went to meet up with the 3 other families.
After we met up, we drove on to the ferry terminal. Nothing much interesting happening except some problems with my Dad's GPS.
After parking the car ON the ferry, we took a one-hour trip to clever island.
Alight, drive to inn.. blah blah..
Had lunch at the Inn, it rocked my socks. For Shanghainese food, these were superb.
Oh yeah i forgot to mention it was sub-zero temperature there, so imagine me was shivering and chattering throughout the trip.
And the water in the lakes were all frozen over, so we could skid stones over the surface of the lake.
Too bad the ice was too thin. Would have liked to go ice-skating.
Next we went to some historical site. Historical means old, damp and smelly.
Played with some stilts and stuff... -.-
Yeah, how fun.
Next up was a trip to the museum of wood sculptures. Real spooky.
Imagine walking through a dimly-lit museum alone with wooden dragons, phoenixes and buddhas staring at you. Oooh.
We were supposed to go to an animal farm after that, but it was closed as the management was out celebrating CNY. Slackers. NO angpow for you.
Went back to the inn, turned out that i was assigned to bunk with an uncle from our group. Nice guy. We sat on our beds and watched Tv. -.-
Ate a sumptious dinner, showered (hot) and watched Tv till I slipped into dreamland.
+Day two+
It was a dark and cold morning. The icy wind...
Just kidding.
I woke up, it was cold.
Went for a sumptious breakfast, then proceeded to the animal zoo.
More like an animal prison.
Dogs, monkeys, eagles, horses, goats kept in enclosed rusty cages with no water (frozen). =/
Oh well. If i freed all the animals, i don't think my mom would be very happy. She's fine with the animals being in their cages.
My Sis rode on the horses. I think the horse looked like it was bored to death.
Ate sumptious lunch.
Next stop was some place called the forest park.
I was thinking, Oh no i bet this is just another boring plac where we can see some trees and taste some fruits.
Was i wrong.
Firstly, the place is HUGE. Like very very very very Ginormously hUgE
Secondly, the scenery and landscape was beautiful. And i had a camera =D. Seriously breathtaking stunning awe-inspiring heart-stopping impressive magnificent overwhelming stunning thrilling and all the other words on Dictionary.com
In other words... wait i think i used all the other words.
I'll upload the pics some other time. =D
Wait.. It gets even better.
Thirdly, I had a bike.
Well we rented some. So with the breeze ruffling my hair and soothing Chinese music playing in the background, I cycled through the park.
For almost 3 whole hours. =D
There were hill paths, lakeside paths, paths in the middle of a forest...
Ok, i cycled for 3 hours partly because i got lost, so i started wandering around till i crashed into someone.
But still, it was the most fun i've had in a long time. If only there were friends cycling with me, but its alright, I enjoyed the silence and serenity.
Its nice to be with yourself and rest and reflect once in a while.. ;D
Alright... it got a little boring later on. But only a little. =D
There were many other activities too, like paint-ball and go-kart racing, but we didn't have the time to try them all. I enjoyed myself anyway.
I hope to go back again during spring or autumn. =D
That would rock. I'm not wearing socks now.
Oh yeah, while cycling with the group of families, we stumbled (or crashed into) what seemed like a garden maze.
Well it was a garden maze.
So we tried it.
And what happens in mazes?
Yep. We got lost.
But considering that we were already lost, it didn't really matter.
Getting lost is fun. =D
Following that was dinner (just as sumptious) and we played with some firecrackers. No one died, especially not me. And i'm not black and burnt. So everything's fine. Right? Or did you want me to be burnt. Cruel.
Then back home we went.
-The End-
For the trip, at least.
I've still got other things to say, so bear with me. I know you all are just dying to know all about my life here right? Stalkers.
Alright. For starters, I'm all better now. No more fever at least.
Still having a slight cough and stuff, but i'm alright.
Though i am getting fat. 3 weeks of no exercise and Fine dining is taking its toll on me. Ok i'll have to start training. Soon. Like maybe next year.
Another thing, from now on i'll just post on remarkable or special events k? Because if i were to post about everyday it would be a boring repetition of boring stuff.
Basically, right now my family is looking to rent a house near the school. So i'll be out alot this week. Which means lesser time on the com. Boohoo. Live with it.
=D
Still looking for a nice apartment though. Plus affordable.
Ok another memorable event.
Yesterday i went to a park.
A huge park.
But not as big as the one on clever island.
And i didn't have a bike.
BUT i did have the camera =D.
Again, i'll post the pics some other time. I can't find the wire for the cam. =P
As i type this post, i glanced to the side and realised that the scroll bar has become really, really small. Not a good sign. =P
Ok well i guess that's all for now.
Take care everyone. All the best in your studies and stuff!
=)
